Below are some tips to keep in mind to enjoy your safari:

– Communicate openly: No detail is too small to be mentioned. The important thing is to inform your safari company or your lodges about your dietary requirements prior to your tour! We will make sure that you obtain the appropriate accommodation that can cater for you properly

Stay at the most up-market lodges possible or consider staying a stand-alone safari villa: These are more equipped to handle vegan menus. Some lodges lodges grow their own organic vegetables or have some local women grow specific items for them. By booking with a lodge that is already aware of the requirements you have in your diet and the needs associated with veganism (animal rights, anti-animal testing, etc), you’ll have one less headache and complete peace of mind. Or Staying in alone safari villa will allow you to determine your menu as you please due to the presence of a private chef.

Although some do, many hotels don’t have vegan-friendly bathroom amenities, toiletries or other products. If this is important to you, bring your own soaps, shampoos and toothpaste, shopping them can be also challenging country.

Learn terms in local language: Instead of just saying that I’m vegan or vegetarian It’s also helpful to look up some phrases ahead of time such as: I do not eat meat, chicken or pork.
