ITINERARY IN FULL
Upon arrival at Kigali International Airport, you will be welcomed by our drive guide who will transfer you to the hotel for meals and accommodation at Marriot Hotel ( luxury)
Day 2 : Transfer to Akagera National park.
Its named for after Akagera river that flows along the eastern boundary and feeds into a labyrinth of lakes. Rolling hills of Acacia bush with panoramic views across scattered grassland, patches of thick forest and mosaic of swamp -fringed lakes along the meandering Akagera watercourse contribute to this park’s almost unrivalled diversity and scenic beauty.
Our driver will pick you up 7am for your trip to Akagera national park. After Park registration we will head for a short game drive, lunch then later proceed for sunset boat ride on lake Ihema. Check-in at Ruzizi Tented lodge for meals and accommodation.
Day 3: Full Game Drive
After breakfast, you will head for full game drive from the southern part of the park to the Northern part.The day game drive offers you the opportunity to spot a variety of wild animals such as elephants, buffalos, lions, Masai giraffe, gazelles, impala, baboons, oribi, Butchel’s zebra, topi, bush baby, leopard and bushbuck. And water lovers like Crocodiles and Hippos, coupled with large concentration of bird life; over 525 species identified. Meals on full board plan and accommodation at Marriot Hotel (luxury)
Day 4:Transfer to Nyungwe via Cultural Corridor
After breakfast, we will drive to Nyanza for King’s palace Museum and after we will proceed to National art gallery. Set in a wide colonial building on top of the gorgeous Rwesero Hill, National Art Gallery was once built for Rwanda’s king Mutara III Rudahigwa, who died in 1959, just before he would move into his modern palace. This museum displays both traditional and contemporary Rwandan artwork which testifies to the originality of Rwandan creativity. it’s not very often you find such a cultivated selection of artwork on a lovely green hilltop out in the countryside, the National Art Gallery is an incredible surprise. Later we will proceed to the Ethnographic Museum This beautiful museum sits in wide, tranquil gardens at the edge of Huye city. It was given to the city as a gift from Belgium in 1987 to celebrate 25 years of independence. This captivating museum houses one of Africa finest ethnographic collection. Its seven galleries cover an impressive array of topics on almost anything about Rwanda you can imagine: banana beer, geology, cosmology, farming, music, dance, poetry, history, tools, hunting, animal husbandry, weaving, woodwork and transport are all profiled here, giving visitors a rich insight into culture of Rwandans. Day 5: Chimpanzee Trekking and Canopy walk
The national park is a home to large population of chimpanzees, the closet relatives to human beings sharing approximately 98% of human DNA. The chimpanzees live in different families each family headed by one dominant who leads the group. They demonstrate different roles in a family with the females nursing and taking care of the young ones, the males protecting the family and the young ones playing and feeding.
After 5am will drive off to Nyungwe for briefing and then after set off for chimpanzee trekking. Meals and accommodation at Emeraude Kivu resort
Day 6:Transfer to Bwindi impenetrable forest (Ultimate Gorilla experience
The Bwindi Impenetrable National Park is a biodiverse, mountainous area in southwest Uganda. It’s home to many of the world’s remaining mountain gorillas, who feed on roots, leaves and fruits from the park’s many tree and fern species. Restricted numbers of viewing permits help protect the endangered gorilla families. In the park, rough paths weave amid dense forests, which are home to many butterflies and birds
What to carry!
Bring jungle boots, gloves and rain jackets because the is often wet. Spend time in awe watching the gorillas go about their day activities. With encounter being different with its own rewards, but you’re most likely to enjoy the closer view of adults feeding, grooming and resting as the youngster’s frolic and swing from vines in delightfully playful display
After breakfast, you will be transferred to Uganda, the 5 hours journey starts at 9am. you will have a check in at border between Uganda and Rwanda before we proceed to the jungle and. For meals and accommodation at Lake mutanda Resort ( Mid-range)
Day 7: Gorilla Trekking
After an early breakfast, you will be accompanied by the guide to the park headquarter for the briefing then you will go for gorilla trekking. Day 8: Departure

WHAT TO CARRY:
