Day1 Arrival at Kigali International Airport

Upon arrival at Kigali International Airport, you will be welcomed by our drive guide who will transfer you to the hotel for meals and accommodation.

Day2:  Kigali city tour and Transfer to nyungwe National Park via culture corridor

After breakfast at the hotel, you will embark on a city tour of Kigali which will begin with the Genocide memorial. Rwanda’s painful past has haunted the country for years; however, their impressive recovery story has turned them into an inspiration. The Kigali Genocide Memorial is the final resting place for more than 250,000 victims of the Genocide against the Tutsi in Rwanda. It honours the memory of the more than one million Rwandans killed in 1994 and also serves to educate about genocide and peace -building around the world. and their after to the Campaign Against Genocide Museum.

After, we will drive to the ancient King’s palace at Nyanza, and National Museum (Ethnographic Museum) at Huye.  The King’s Palace is less about ancient history and more about royal residences.  A guided tour explains some of the architectural idiosyncrasies inside the royal compound and other curiosities such as why the woman who looked after the king’s milk was never able to marry.

A visit to Ethnographic Museum( one of Africa finest ethnographic collection) will give you a rich insight into Rwandans culture with Its seven galleries that cover an impressive array of topics on almost anything about Rwanda you can imagine: banana beer, geology, cosmology, farming, music, dance, poetry, history, tools, hunting, animal husbandry, weaving, woodwork and transport .  For meals and accommodation at Hotel

Day3: Chimpanzee trekking and canopy walk

Nyungwe rainforest national park is located in the Southwestern region of Rwanda, at an elevation of over 1600m, sounds and sights collaborate to create a magic experience as you journey through the majestic rainforest. The park holds the source of Africa’s great rivers, feeding the Nile in the east and Congo River in the west, and is known as the most endemic species -rich in Africa. It is a home to habituated chimpanzees and 12 other primate species, birds with over 300 species, butterflies and moths abound and the forest comprises of more than 243 species with canopy reaching 70m high in places, orchids and over 1000 plant types.

After breakfast you will go for chimpanzee trekking.  The chimpanzee tracking adventure includes traversing through the vines and thorny bushes across the forest floor along the muddy trails and before long you will find yourself in the middle of a group of chimpanzees. You will spend some time with the chimpanzees observing them as they go about their day to day activities.

Later after lunch you will go for canopy walkway that gives bird’s eye view of the Albertine Rift endemic species. For meals and accommodation at the Lodge

Day4: Waterfall hike and transfer to Lake Kivu (Kibuye)

After breakfast, you will head for waterfall hike And Later drive to  lake kivu – kibuye side . Meals and  acomodation at the lodge

Day5 Boat riding on Lake Kivu and transfer to Kigali International Airport

Lake Kivu is Rwanda’s largest and Africa’s sixth largest lake. Extremely good-looking inland water body, it is enclosed by steep, green terraced hills along eastern Rwanda. Lake Kivu stands at a height of 1, 460 meters (4,790 ft) above sea level, 89 km in length and 48 km wide, covering a surface of 2700 km2

After breakfast you will go for a boat ride and visit different islands in Lake Kivu.  After lunch you will relax on the shore of the lake and later drive back to Kigali and transfer to airport for departure.
