Incredibly Cheap Way for Mountain Gorilla Trekking

 No other wildlife encounter in Africa matches the astounding experience of spending time face-to-face with mountain gorillas. The fact that mountain gorillas as a species are on the brink of extinction and treks are a highly restricted activity, encountering those amazing creatures is considered an once-in-a-lifetime travel experience. Uganda alone has over half of the remaining mountain gorillas in the world, today you are likely to go trekking in either Bwindi Impenetrable National Park or Mgahinga Gorilla National Park in Uganda

Bwindi-Impenetrable-National-Park

The Bwindi Impenetrable National Park is a bio-diverse, mountainous area in southwest Uganda on the edge of the Rift Valley. With mist covered hillsides, Bwindi Impenetrable National Park is the oldest and most biologically diverse rain-forest, with over 400 species of plant. It has gorilla trekking as the major tourist attraction with 4 gorilla trekking trail-heads. 9 groups of mountain gorilla families have been habituated and only 8 tourist booked permit per group per day. Registration and briefing at Buhoma, Ruhija, Nkuringo, and Rushaga visitor receptions commences at 07:30 am with general briefings conducted at 08:00 am and can last from few hours to a whole day depending on where the gorillas where they gorillas were left the previous day. This biologically diverse region also provide shelter to a further 120 mammals, including several primate species such as baboons and chimpanzees, as well as elephants and antelopes, around 350 species of birds including 23 Albertine Rift endemics.

Mgahinga Gorilla National Park sits in the clouds, at an altitude of between 2227m and 4127m. It was created to protect the rare mountain gorillas that inhabit its dense forests and it is also an important habitat for the endangered golden monkey. Gorilla trekking can be strenuous and may take the whole day in Mgahinga. The guide leads you through the gorilla’s world, explaining aspect of their ecology and behavior along the way. As well as being important for wildlife, the park also has a huge cultural significance, in a particular for the indigenous Batwa pigmies. For generations, Mgahinga’s dense forest was home to the indigenous batwa-hunter gatherers and fierce warriors who depended on the forest shelter, food, medicine. Now they lead visitor though the forest and introduce them to their old home and the techniques they used to survive in it.

Day1: Transfer to Bwindi impenetrable national Park or Mgahinga Gorilla National Park (where Gold meets with silver)

After breakfast, you will be picked by our driver guide at 9 am to your next journey to Uganda, you will have a  check in at border between Uganda and Rwanda before we proceed to the jungle  .For meals and accommodation at Hotel.

                                                                

 

 

 

Day2: Gorilla trekking .

After an early breakfast, you will be accompanied by the guide to the park headquarter for the briefing then you will go for gorilla trekking. You’re most likely to enjoy the closer view of adults feeding, grooming and resting as the youngsters frolic and swing from vines in delightfully playful display.  And later return to Kigali around 6pm to 8pm
